Zeitoun

Dave Eggers is the author of the national bestseller book: Zeitoun. The book is a narrative of a man named Abdulrahman Zeitoun and the experience that he went through before,during, and after Hurricane Katrina.

What is interesting about the book is the way that the author starts it off. Eggers starts of the book with Abdu's backround life and starts to lead up to the event of Katrina from there.

Throughout the book the story goes back and forth describing Abdu's past and present life.

Valentine Sham

In AJR the idea of having only one love for Valentines day was shattered. One of AJR's club decided to marry people and there was no limit to how many people one person can marry.

In the real world such a thing is called Poltergeist. Valentine's Day is suppose to be the day of two people and how much they care about each other, not to marry several people and see it as being a romantic scene.

Interesting Blog

I read an interesting article on my friends Ron's AJR blog. They said that when the LAPD came to the school it was because an anonymous call was made stating that there was a black male in school so they were looking for an African American male who was heavily armed and dangerous. Here's what I think: I think that my friend overreacted in stating how dangerous the black male was when he said that they were looking for a heavily armed African American. In some ways it may look that he made it seem that way because the perpetrator was black so therefore he was heavily armed and dangerous.If you want to read this article for yourself then ckick here

My Opinion..

In my opinion I think that in this season of sports there are more chances for a girl to be athletic and join a sport because they have the option of joining either basketball,softball, or soccer which would increase the chances of them of joining at least one sport.

The school food has also been turning out better now that they brought back some of the old food that they used to give out before until they decided not to give out that kind of food no more.

LAPD visit last 4th of January was due to a false call and in the news they have been implying that AJR should take more responsibilty of their students who they think made the "prank" call.

SRLA is picking up the pace more and more with every practice and putting in more miles in order to be ready to run the 26.2 LA Marathon.
